LSI Seeks Auto Instructor
Lockmasters Security Institute is looking for a full-time, dynamic Automotive Instructor to teach adults in the rapidly changing automotive locksmith industry. The candidate must have five years of field experience, a strong background in current electronic locking systems with an emphasis on lockout entry skills, and the ability to teach and develop courses. The fast-paced position requires travel and the motivation to keep up with new automotive technologies. Writing skills and Microsoft Word/ Power Point familiarity are necessary. Staiano Joins Lockmasters Government Team
Joe Staiano has joined Lockmasters’ Government and Industrial Department. With over 30 years industry experience, Staiano began his career in 1981 working in a builder’s hardware shop in Arlington, Texas. In the early 90s he managed a lock shop in Long Island, and joined American Lock and Supply in 1994. Most recently he was with Clark Security Products for 17 years, specializing in government and industrial sales.

LAB Schedules Fourth February Seminar
A fourth LAB Security technical products seminar has been scheduled for Feburary. The latest will beFeb. 23 at Security Lock Distributors in Pompano Beach, FL. The other February dates and locations are Feb. 6, Intermountain, Las Vegas; Feb. 8, Intermountain, Salt Lake City; and Feb. 9, Intermountain, Denver. Bianchi Names Deputy GM
Chad Winland has been promoted to deputy general manager of operations of Bianchi USA. A veteran of 12 years in product management, logistics and business development, Winland joined Bianchi when it opened US operations in 2003. Winland earned a Business Management degree from The Ohio State University and is located in the company’s North Olmstead, Ohio headquarters.

SecuraKey Promotes Anthony
Charles Anthony has been promoted to Director of Sales at Secura Key. In his new position Anthony will be responsible for all company sales functions. Previously, Anthony was the national sales manager for access control sales. Before Joining SecuraKey, the 30-year executive sales management professional worked for a systems integrator specializing in complete security solutions. Anthony has a degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Concord College, and has completed numerous professional sales training and business development courses. Anthony will be based in Chatsworth, California.

Master Lock Offers Lube Promo
A limited time offer for a full-color countertop lubricant display is being offered to locksmiths by Master Lock. The promotion, which runs from Jan. 1 through March 31, includes the display and 24 Lock Lube pens. Mark Calendars for H.L. Flake 100th Anniversary
H. L. Flake Security Hardware will host its 100 Year Anniversary Party April 19-21 in Houston. The event will be packed with training seminars, a trade show, and lots of time to celebrate and meet and greet fellow locksmiths and suppliers. Herbert L. Flake opened the business in 1912 as a bicycle company, rapidly expanding into locks and keys. Daniel Floeck Jr. purchased the distributor in 1988. Under Floeck family direction, the company has continually grown and now has over 21,000 different items in stock.
